Wikipedia
oviparous
Oviparous animals are animals that lay their eggs, with little or no other embryonic development within the mother. This is the reproductive method of most fish, amphibians, most reptiles, and all pterosaurs, dinosaurs (including birds), and monotremes. In traditional usage, most insects (one being Culex pipiens, or the common house mosquito), molluscs, and arachnids are also described as oviparous.

oviparous
Oviparous is a term used to describe animals that lay eggs, with little or no other embryonic development within the mother. The eggs may be fertilized either inside the mother (as in birds, reptiles, and some fishes) or outside (as in amphibians). This is different from viviparous animals, where development of the embryo happens inside the mother, leading to live birth.
