Wikipedia

  1. notes

Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) is a surgical technique whereby "scarless" abdominal operations can be performed with an endoscope passed through a natural orifice (mouth, urethra, anus, vagina, etc.) then through an internal incision in the stomach, vagina, bladder or colon, thus avoiding any external incisions or scars. Memic's hominis robotic system is the first and only FDA-authorized surgical robotic platform for NOTES procedures. The system is currently at use for transvaginal hysterectomies through the Rectouterine pouch - the removal of the uterus, along with one or both of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, in cases where there is no cancer present, as well as with the removal of ovarian cysts

Examples of notes in a Sentence

  1. Sacha Pfeiffer:

All along the process, I'd hear from her by phone, by text, by email. Even on set sometimes, I'd get text messages saying 'Now, would you have taken notes in a notebook or by typing on a computer?' so all along the way I got an inside look at how much she cared about the details, how much she wanted to be accurate and it was a window to me on to how hard really good actors work.

  2. Jay Ken Iinuma:

When I stated at the deposition that I never looked at a 'medical record' while at Aetna, I understood the term 'medical record' to refer to the entirety of a patient historical file containing all charts, doctors' notes, laboratory tests, and any other report generated by a treating provider for that patient, in my mind, and based on my experience, this is the definition of a patient's 'medical record' -- a record of their treatment and medical history. Not only is a patient's medical record generally a very large file or files, in my experience neither patients nor providers submit the entirety of a patient's medical record to Aetna. Patients and providers submit only portions of a patient's medical record for Aetna's review.

  3. Hepburn Ferrer:

I remember in the months [before her death] we received thousands of letters -- enough to fill 25 lawn and leaf trash bags -- just filled with get-well notes, books -- you name it, and on the day of her funeral, it was estimated that there were over 25,000 people lining the streets of this little village in Switzerland.

  4. Michael Weinstein:

If reflections memorialized in records and notes are inconsistent with what he was saying publicly or with disclosure to health or government officials, that is potentially problematic.

  5. Jeff Flake:

There are typically notes that are taken. I'm assuming that some of the information could only be given in a classified setting so I would think that before the relevant committees, I'm not saying it ought to be done in a public hearing, we at least ought to get access to the notes that the translators keep.
