Nandrolone is most commonly sold commercially as its decanoate ester and less commonly as a phenylpropionate ester. Nandrolone decanoate is used in the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at a dose of 50 mg every three weeks. It is also used for some aplastic anemias.
