   The West Side (W/S) Dixon City Bloods (a.k.a. the "Dixon Goonies") are a mid-sized roaming territorial street gang whose origins can be traced back to a series of high-rise apartments situated on Dixon road just east of Kipling Avenue, west of Islington in the Rexdale community of North Etobicoke in western Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Although not proven, it is rumoured that one of the founding members of this set was a former member of a New York based Bloods gang known as G-Shine who had relocated to the area around early 2000s. The Dixon Bloods control a cluster of high-rises on Dixon Road, namely 320, 330, 340, 370, 380 and 390 Dixon. The area in which this gang has claimed as their turf has a high concentration of Somalian immigrants which generally make up the same ethnic background of the majority of its members. Members of the Dixon Bloods and their associates have been known to engage in the smuggling of guns into Canada from the U.S.A. across the Detroit-Windsor border, in addition to shootings, robberies and drug trafficking. Over the years, the Dixon Bloods have expanded and plied their trade to other regions in Canada such as Windsor, Ontario as well as Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. Their enemies include the Doomstown Rexdale Crips, Stovetop Rexdale Crips, O-Blocc Rexdale Crips, Tandridge Rexdale Crips, Ghost Town Crips, Willowridge Crew, the All Crips Gang and the Ardwick Blood Crew. On Thursday June 13, 2013 Police from across Ontario conducted a series of early-morning raids in the GTA targeting the Dixon Bloods gang dubbed "Project Traveller". By the end of this initiative, 30 warrants were executed and a total of 43 people associated with the gang were arrested resulting in 300 charges including murder, attempted murder and firearms offenses . Police also seized 40 firearms, more than $3-million in narcotics including cocaine, marijuana, hashish and crystal meth and $572,000 in cash.
