Wikipedia
Coffea arabica
Coffea arabica (), also known as the Arabic coffee, is a species of flowering plant in the coffee and madder family Rubiaceae. It is believed to be the first species of coffee to have been cultivated and is currently the dominant cultivar, representing about 60% of global production. Coffee produced from the less acidic, more bitter, and more highly caffeinated robusta bean (C. canephora) makes up most of the remaining coffee production. Arabica coffee originates from and was first cultivated in Yemen, and documented by the 12th century. Coffea arabica is called بُنّ (būnn) in Arabic.

Coffea Arabica, often known as Arabica coffee, is a species of coffee indigenous to Ethiopia and Yemen. It is believed to be the first species of coffee to be cultivated, with a history dating back over a thousand years. Coffea Arabica plants grow into large bushes or small trees and produce beans that are notably higher in quality and flavor compared to other coffee species. Approximately 60% of the world's coffee production is from this species. The beans are often processed into grounded coffee or instant coffee; they can also be sold as whole roasted beans.

Coffea arabica
Coffea arabica is a species of Coffea originally indigenous to the mountains of the southwestern highlands of Yemen. It is also known as the "coffee shrub of Arabia", "mountain coffee" or "arabica coffee". Coffea arabica is believed to be the first species of coffee to be cultivated, being grown in southwest Arabia for well over 1,000 years. It is said to produce better tasting coffee than the other major commercially grown coffee species, Coffea canephora, because robusta cherries contain twice as much caffeine as arabica. Caffeine itself has a bitter taste, making robusta more bitter. C. arabica contains less caffeine than any other commercially cultivated species of coffee. Wild plants grow to between 9 and 12 m tall, and have an open branching system; the leaves are opposite, simple elliptic-ovate to oblong, 6–12 cm long and 4–8 cm broad, glossy dark green. The flowers are white, 10–15 mm in diameter and grow in axillary clusters. The fruit is a drupe 10–15 mm in diameter, maturing bright red to purple and typically contains two seeds.
