campanella park pirus
The West Side (W/S) Bompton Campanella Park Pirus are an African American street gang founded in the unincorporated city of Rosewood, a community immediately west of Compton, California. Their territory is bounded by Central Avenue and Avalon Blvd in the east and west towards Rosecrans Avenue and Compton Blvd. in the north and south. Their neighborhood lies south of the 135 Piru, north of the Original Swamps Compton Crips and west of the 145 Neighborhood Pirus. The name of this gang derives from a local public park named Roy Campanella Park, which is located in the heart of their neighborhood around Stanford Avenue and 148th Street. They are allies of both Piru and Blood gangs such as the West Side Piru, 145 Neighborhood Pirus, 135 Piru, the Athens Park Bloods and the Hacienda Village Bloods. However, the Campanella Park Pirus have also engaged in past conflicts with other Blood gangs such as the Bounty Hunters Watts, the LA Denver Lane Bloods and the Crenshaw Mafia Gang. Other enemies include the Hoover Criminals, the Original Swamps Compton Crips, Raymond Street Hustler Compton Crips, Twilight Zone Compton Crips, Tragniew Park Compton Crips, Florencia 13, Compton Varrio 155, Compton Varrio Tortilla Flats and the Compton Varrio Alondra 13. Most Campanella Park Pirus claim 148th Street and are found in and around the area of Campanella Park. Late rapper and DJ Quik protege Mausburg claimed affiliation to this gang.
