It is part of the Spanish Inditex group (which also own the brands of Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Oysho, Uterqüe, Stradivarius and Zara Home).The company was created in April 1998 as a new store and fashion concept, aimed at a young target market. Bershka conducts consistent business on design planning, production,distribution, and store sales. The products in each season are all planned and developed by Bershka's creative team. On 6 September 2011, the company (alongside its sister brands) launched into the online market in France, Germany, Greece, Poland, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, China, Latvia and United Kingdom.
