    The act or art of transforming a photographic image through means of digital manipulation to repair, restore, enhance and revitalise the subject matter to make it more emotionally impactful. To make historic photographs look contemporary. To remove the signs of age from a photograph via the act of Babelisation.

    I've been doing some babelisation of Victorian photographs and now they look like they were taken on an iPhone.
