Arlon (French pronunciation: [aʁlɔ̃] (listen); Luxembourgish: Arel [ˈaːʀəl] (listen); Dutch: Aarlen [ˈaːrlə(n)] (listen); German: Arel [ˈaːʁəl]; Walloon: Årlon; Latin: Orolaunum) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in and capital of the province of Luxembourg in the Ardennes, Belgium. With a population of just over 28,000, it is the smallest provincial capital in Belgium. Arlon is also the capital of its cultural region: the Arelerland (Land of Arlon in Luxemburgish). The municipality consists of the following districts: Arlon, Autelbas, Barnich, Bonnert, Guirsch, Heinsch, and Toernich. Other population centers include:

Arlon is a Walloon municipality of Belgium located in the province of Luxembourg, of which it is the capital, and part of Arelerland. Despite the Luxembourgish majority population, the city was not included in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and an assimilation process to the French language continued undisturbed. The municipality of Arlon includes the villages of Autelbas, Autelhaut, Barnich, Bonnert, Clairefontaine, Fouches, Frassem, Freylange, Guirsch, Heckbous, Heinsch, Sampont, Sesselich, Seymerich, Sterpenich, Toernich, Udange, Viville, Waltzing, and Weyler.
