Allyship can exist in terms of race, indigeneity, or other vectors of oppression. Outcomes of allyship considered to be desirable by proponents include greater diversity in the workplace and empowerment of traditionally marginalized communities.Behaviors that are part of allyship include community action, positive and affirmative use of language, and proactively combating forms of prejudice against marginalized groups such as "heterosexism, cissexism, sexism, ableism," and other forms of discrimination.
