    Ablade is both a surname and a given name.

    To wear away with water or another fluid. Fluid may or may not carry abrasives. As opposed to ablate, which is a similar action, but with nonspecific cause.

    i.e. The flow of the river will ablade the concrete of the piers and footings over time. i.e. The high flow velocity in the pipe will ablade the fittings. A high pressure water jet cutter for steel ablades the cuts, as opposed to a focused sand blaster ablating the surface.

    Etymology: I find it in Engineering text books on Fluid Dynamics, Hydraulics, etc.
