Wikidata

  1. Yazidi

The Yazidi are a Kurdish religious group, who represent an ancient heterodox religious sect linked to Zoroastranism and Sufism. They currently live primarily in the Nineveh Province of northern Iraq. Additional communities in Transcaucasia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Syria have been in decline since the 1990s, their members having emigrated to Europe, especially to Germany. Their religion is seen as a highly syncretic complex of local Kurdish beliefs that contains Zoroastrian elements and Islamic Sufi doctrine introduced to the area by Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir in the 12th century. The Yazidi believe in God as creator of the world, which he placed under the care of seven holy beings or angels, the chief of whom is Melek Taus, the Peacock Angel.

  1. Yazidi

The Yazidi are a tribe of the 'great' Sumerians. The Yazidi are not Kurds, they are not Arabs. And they are definitely not Muslims. The Yazidi's culture and religion are approximately 12,000+ yrs old. The oldest on earth. Since the dawn of time, other people's have stolen their history, their heritage, their lands. This is still ongoing today. It started over 5,000 years ago.

The Yazidi are the 'truth' and that's why they are being exterminated today.

As you recall about this time last year, we were all facing the horror of what was happening in the vicinity of Sinjar to the Yazidi people. A year later, Kurdish forces, some number of thousands of them, have launched into the attack to push Daesh (ISIS) out of that area.

They are also pushed out of food lines by others in the camp and endure verbal attacks on a daily basis. Despite the severity of their problems, many of the Christian and Yazidi refugees are not reporting them. The survey found that many feel that they will endure more trouble if they report the incidents to officials. Only 17 percent of respondents complained to local police officials. The language barrier was a factor, as well, and no action was taken on past incidents, making it less likely for new victims to come forward. Open Doors said the survey is the most comprehensive of its kind and it brings awareness to a growing issue. We hope this puts pressure on the German government to address what is going on within their borders, we want to ensure that that they are protected. This is actually happening. They need your help.
