Wei, Wei dynasty(noun)
any of several imperial dynasties of China ruling from 220 to 265 and from 386 to 556
The State of Wei, sometimes romanized Ngwei to distinguish it from Wey, was a Zhou Dynasty vassal state during the Warring States Period of Chinese history. Its territory lay between the states of Qin and Qi and included parts of modern day Henan, Hebei, Shanxi and Shandong. After its capital was moved from Anyi to Daliang during the reign of King Hui of Wei, Wei was also called the state of Liang.
