stratospherenoun
Collectively, those layers of the Earth's crust which primarily comprise stratify deposit.
stratospherenoun
The region of the uppermost atmosphere where temperature increases along with the altitude due to the absorption of solar ultraviolet radiation by ozone. The stratosphere extends from the tropopause (10–15 kilometers) to approximately 50 kilometers, where it is succeeded by the mesosphere.
Etymology: stratum + -o- + sphere
Wikipedia
Stratosphere
The stratosphere () is the second layer of the atmosphere of the Earth, located above the troposphere and below the mesosphere. The stratosphere is an atmospheric layer composed of stratified temperature layers, with the warm layers of air high in the sky and the cool layers of air in the low sky, close to the planetary surface of the Earth. The increase of temperature with altitude is a result of the absorption of the Sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation by the ozone layer. The temperature inversion is in contrast to the troposphere, near the Earth's surface, where temperature decreases with altitude. Between the troposphere and stratosphere is the tropopause border that demarcates the beginning of the temperature inversion. Near the equator, the lower edge of the stratosphere is as high as 20 km (66,000 ft; 12 mi), at midlatitudes around 10 km (33,000 ft; 6.2 mi), and at the poles about 7 km (23,000 ft; 4.3 mi). Temperatures range from an average of −51 °C (−60 °F; 220 K) near the tropopause to an average of −15 °C (5.0 °F; 260 K) near the mesosphere. Stratospheric temperatures also vary within the stratosphere as the seasons change, reaching particularly low temperatures in the polar night (winter). Winds in the stratosphere can far exceed those in the troposphere, reaching near 60 m/s (220 km/h; 130 mph) in the Southern polar vortex.

stratosphere
The stratosphere is a layer of the Earth's atmosphere located above the troposphere and below the mesosphere. It extends from approximately 10 kilometers (6 miles) to 50 kilometers (31 miles) above the Earth's surface. This layer is known for the presence of the ozone layer, which absorbs and scatters the solar ultraviolet radiation in this region.

Stratosphere
The stratosphere is the second major layer of Earth's atmosphere, just above the troposphere, and below the mesosphere. It is stratified in temperature, with warmer layers higher up and cooler layers farther down. This is in contrast to the troposphere near the Earth's surface, which is cooler higher up and warmer farther down. The border of the troposphere and stratosphere, the tropopause, is marked by where this inversion begins, which in terms of atmospheric thermodynamics is the equilibrium level. At moderate latitudes the stratosphere is situated between about 10–13 km and 50 km altitude above the surface, while at the poles it starts at about 8 km altitude, and near the equator it may start at altitudes as high as 18 km.

We're not dealing with people who are breaking into the stratosphere and becoming huge artists, we're actually dealing with the opposite on the show. And that's an interesting thing to get a look at. I think that it's inspiring to see what people go through personally and then how they apply it musically.
When the stratosphere really puts its foot down, the troposphere responds....
We used to believe the stratosphere was flat, without a lot of weather, but it turns out that’s not entirely true, the largest waves of wind on the planet go up to the stratosphere.
