Extollationthe tradition and process of the recognition of relevant people and their works and life stories within Astronism. Unlike in the Christian form of recognition known as canonisation, extollation can be designated to a person who is still alive and does not involve any notions of intercessory powers or connections to supernatural phenomena (that form of recognition is known as celestification). Instead, to be extolled means to have lived a life according to contributionism in which a person has contributed to the world in their own unique way according to their abilities and ambitions. Candidates for extollation are often confined to being inventors, astronomers, cosmologists, philosophers, writers, astronauts, and explorers.added
