The common translation in Latin is "foramen"; adding lepus as a prefixing adjective. (i.e. lepus foramen); this is one basis for the etymology theory for the origin of the C-Word. The other Latin term is cuniculus (rabbit hole), but this has fallen into disuse from the influence of Christian preaching that decried its possible connection to "the monosyllable"; foramen is currently used as a medical term for the vagina.
