It’s really eye-opening to see the increase in the texts, chats and calls that are coming in. But to see that more states have a more than 90% answer rate for contacts coming from their state – and that average speed of answering is down, so people are getting help more quickly.

If we don't recreate Austen's nineteenth-century stories for our own time, and attract new generations of viewers, then these texts won't live on, so I'm definitely all for adaptations that use Austen's material as an inspiration, and make their own mark on it, rather than treating Jane Austen originals as blueprints that must be religiously copied.

I love her ‘80s and ’90s style, but back then, everyone seemed kind of obsessed with being perfect on camera, you know? that’s not right for me. I’m a lot more candid. So I’ll have a cocktail while making a video sometimes, and I get these texts from my mom saying, ‘Katie, stop drinking tequila on TikTok.’ And I’m like, ‘Sorry mom. I will never not drink on TikTok.’ She doesn’t get it.

The text is strong circumstantial evidence, texts that people write, assuming they can be authenticated, are very powerful because they show someone's state of mind and can be directly attributed to them.

And after every one of us winds up bearing the cost for cars to install this alarm, you know who's going to ignore it? Crackheads are the people who do it on purpose, a sensor light is not going to fix this problem and Democrats no longer possess the common sense to understand that not every problem in the world can be fixed with a regulation. But don't tell that to the advocacy groups who also want every future car in America to only start when the driver blows into a breathalyzer. Oh great, my other car is a Karen. You know, it's also not safe to drive when you're crying. Should we make a car that follows your texts and stops the engine when you're dumped?

No matter all the numbers of texts that are coming out or what people have been saying and you kind of get a peek into the window of their world, i think we have to sometimes step back and say,' I do believe there are probably some real kind of' Did we break the law ?' questions here,' but even bigger than that, in my mind is what does that say about the future of democracy if we do truly believe in it, or is it all about win at any cost ?

I actually, I didn’t find out until this morning. I woke up, I guess it was around six or whatever, and saw it on my phone. I had some texts and then just naturally kind of Googled it to see what’s going on just to be honest. Saw that and I rolled over and told Marissa [his wife], ‘Hey, this just happened. It’ll be an interesting day at work. I’m going to go in and see,’.

I guess I was just kind of worried for Daniel’s safety, he was talking to the police so I couldn’t get ahold of him at first, and I had been getting texts from my parents at that point telling me what had happened at the parade. And we live so close. I thought, ‘What are the chances that this is the guy?’ But it was.

Even though we had traded some emails and texts – Teri went to chef school right after ‘Housewives,’ I moved to Minnesota – we did stay in touch… but we realized we’d never seen each other, we’d never been in the same place physically since she drove away from my ghost in the front yard, but it’s one of those kinds of friendships – and I have this with Dean [Cain] from ‘Superman’ – where you don’t necessarily see each other all the time, or even talk all that often, but just know that if you needed something, we’re there for each other.

One of the texts, I( said),' I'm gon na call the police, just letting you know.' ... No responses, a normal parent, when Joe Petito text someone that Joe Petito're going to call the cops because Joe Petito can't find Joe Petito child, they would reply. No response, no nothing.

This seems pretty egregious. I can see how certain trainings or workshops that some parents take exception to seem really outside of what a history class can be expected to do, but the kind of texts that are being banned here make me feel that there is now just sort of an allergy to anything that mentions race or racism.

One of the biggest scary texts he sent, he just said, 'I love you guys. Thank you for everything in case things go bad.' That was a really hard text, especially me being in this situation, that was something I would never want to hear from any of my friends. It was horrifying. It was truly horrifying.

You used high-minded language, Im just gonna say it like it is. That was a s---show, were on cable, we can say that, apologies for being a little bit crude, but that is really the phrase that Im getting from people on both sides of the aisle on texts and its the only phrase that I can think of to really describe it. And I couldnt agree with you more, Jake.
