After nine seasons, I am saying goodbye to Maggie Pierce and her Grey Sloan family. It has been a tremendous honor to be a part of such a legendary television institution as ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ i will always be grateful to Shonda Rhimes, Krista Vernoff and ABC for the opportunity, and to the incredible fans for their passionate support. To spend nine years exploring a character inside and out, while reaching a global audience with impactful stories, is a rare gift.

Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family, emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.

In my more than 20 plus years in television, I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television with Rachael. However I’ve made the decision that’s it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career, my passions have evolved from the talk show format production and syndication model to a platform unencumbered by the traditional rules of distribution.

Anybody who has seen fit to get on television and talk about this incident, talk about this issue, can do right by the people of East Palestine and everybody else who lives near a railroad, not just when it comes to this case, but when it comes to the future, by getting on the right side of this issue, and helping to raise – not lower – the bar of accountability for the railroad industry.

What you don’t know is that the moment the curtain opened and it was time to perform, our turntable started spinning in reverse, backwards. Freaking all of us out on live television, and there was nothing we could do to stop it. In real time, we had to troubleshoot and try to do a complete piece in reverse. Talk about professionalism.

It’s the same reason we seek out films and television shows that produce emotional experiences – ‘I want to have a good cry,’ i think celebrity culture functions kind of similarly.

Can I imagine someone in college dating a classmate’s mother? No, but can I imagine someone being part of a social experiment because they are keen to be on television? Yes. Networks want to create shows that are conversation starters. ‘MILF Manor’ has garnered plenty of press attention and discussion, so they must be doing something interesting.

How do you say goodbye to something like 50 years in television? how proud when I see all the young women who are making and reporting the news. If I did anything to help make that happen, that is my legacy. From the bottom of my heart, to all of you with whom I have worked and who have watched and been by my side, I can say: ‘Thank you.’.

When the coronation films were shown on American television, the networks naturally sold advertising, and the Brits were upset that cigarette commercials were in disrespectful proximity to Her Majesty. This helped reenforce the Brits in their view that TV should continue to be government sponsored and paid for by taxes on the TV set and turned them away from considering the commercial model for TV like ours.

I don't think the funeral will be the last great global event of the television era, but, alas, the great global TV events of the future will probably be disasters : an assassination, a terrorist attack, a deliberate or accidental nuclear event, a huge natural disaster, a pandemic, a coup in a major North American democracy — something everyone will have to watch.

'A seismic shift' for secretary of state racesThe 2020 election represented a high-water mark for prominence of the secretary of state position. The sitting President was calling out secretaries by name, including some Republicans, and urging his supporters to put pressure on these offices to refuse to certify elections in states he had lost. Its absolutely getting worse: Secretaries of state targeted by Trump election lies live in fear for their safety and are desperate for protectionIn several states, the secretary of state is appointed by the governor, but the position is an elected office in a majority of states, albeit one that voters haven't usually prioritized. Both Republican and Democratic campaigns raised tiny sums compared with other statewide counterparts, and few aired ads on television. That has shifted since the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the US Capitol, reflected in fundraising by top secretary of state candidates and the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State. An insurrection makes a difference. The aftermath of the 2020 election forced more Americans to recognize that our country is at a crossroads and our democracy is in peril, i think across the board, all of those factors culminated in people recognizing that secretaries of state are one of our last lines of defense. And people are paying attention now.

I went to UCLA, but when I got to school, everywhere I went, people all over campus would shout across campus, you know,' Hey Winnie !' or' Hey, loved you on' The Wonder Years !' i couldn't get away from it. So I needed to find out how I was valuable outside of Winnie Cooper, and math was challenging and I did well at it. And I love this feeling that my value, the important stuff had nothing to do with how I looked or television.

I think that the criminal justice system sometimes dishes out a very heavy hand when the offender is someone of note, whether that be someone that is on television, an athlete or someone that is known to the general public, i believe that oftentimes, and it's unfortunate, but oftentimes the criminal justice system seeks to make an example of individuals like that.

The answering machine recorded the first three minutes of the conversation, now imagine the Princess of Wales calling you late at night while you were watching television with a family friend. You could hear the affection as they spoke to each other. Diana is almost giggly and shy. George was flattered. But neither of them could let their hair down with each other.
