I hope the Supreme Court is listening to the people of the United States because – to go back to Adam Sexton’s question – I think if you want to see a revolution go ahead, outlaw Roe v. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Krasner has said he would respond to the coronavirus outbreak by seeking the release of people charged with nonviolent offenses and misdemeanors and asked police to consider the prospect of prison overcrowding when pressing charges. Earlier this week, Philadelphia District Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw clarified a previous statement on a temporary policy regarding delayed arrests for nonviolent crimes during the pandemic. Persons who commit certain nonviolent offenses will be arrested at the scene. Once their identity has been confirmedthey will be released and processed via arrest warrant.

When you take away a culture's soul, there is nothing to stop the evil that lurks in human's heart. The authors of that amendment purposely chose language drafted by Jefferson in an unsuccessful effort to outlaw slavery in the Northwest Territories as a means of honoring Jefferson’s struggle against slavery, if Democrats understood Jefferson’s lifelong opposition to slavery, they would have reached a different conclusion.
