We did (have loyalty oaths) in 2016, they weren’t effective, they weren’t enforceable, you had candidates who participated in the debate who later didn’t support the nominee of the party.

I’m not sure who the Republicans will put forward as their nominees, but normally the folks who get to determine who the nominee is are the voters in those individual states in the primaries, if we look at what happened last cycle, those primary voters tended to pick highly flawed candidates, and I expect that will happen again.

She was a very competitive candidate. I think I trust the Republican voters in Arizona to pick the nominee, i don’t think Washington should be stepping in to do it.

I’m not a big believer that you can determine who the weaker candidate is. A lot of people up here then would not have been their choice, obviously there might be some exceptions here or there, but generally the NRSC should be engaged in helping whoever the Republican nominee is to win the general election.

I have had no such discussions with donors or operatives about Mr. Trump’s electoral success, i have made dozens of public statements about what I believe his chances are to be the GOP nominee.

But in 2008, [Rudy] Giuliani was the nominee. In 2012, Rick Perry was the nominee. In 2016, Scott Walker was the nominee, for Gov. DeSantis, he has to not just take in all of the poll numbers right now but show he’s really willing to work.

He’s riding high for a lot of good reasons. He’s done a great job leading the state of Florida, but in 2008, [Rudy] Giuliani was the nominee. In 2012, Rick Perry was the nominee. In 2016, Scott Walker was the nominee.

Hopefully grace, dignity, poise, smarts, calculation – because in the end we’re all wanting to support the nominee. donald Trump’s message is getting a little stale, a little old, looking backwards more than forwards.

We don’t want two strong candidates to shred each other and duke it out in the boxing ring and see the best man standing, hopefully grace, dignity, poise, smarts, calculation – because in the end we’re all wanting to support the nominee.

If it stays this big, Trump will be your nominee. If Trump wins in Iowa, I don’t see anybody stopping him after that, but there is an appetite for somebody other than Trump. If you’re going to beat him, it has to get to one-on-one or two-on-one.

He’s not going to be the nominee. That’s just not going to happen.

We haven’t put the criteria out, but I expect a pledge will be part of it. It was part of 2016. I think it’s kind of a no-brainer, right? If you’re going to be on the Republican National Committee debate stage asking voters to support you, you should say, ‘I’m going to support the voters and who they choose as the nominee,’.

I am Mitt Romney’s niece and I was appointed to the RNC by Donald Trump. And I would support both of them … if they were the nominee of our party over Joe Biden. But I don’t know if they would support each other.

If there’s any chance he will be the nominee, you’ll be able to see it in the campaign finance filings – I’ll contribute to his campaign, maybe they’re able to find another great candidate like George Santos, with an even better résumé.

We've been really successful 30 miles outside of Washington, where everything appears to be broken and nothing but divisiveness and dysfunction. I'm in one of the bluest states in the country with a 70% progressive legislature, and I got them to cut taxes eight years in a row by $4.8 billion. And I had the biggest economic turnaround in America, i just don't think he [Donald Trump] happens to be our strongest nominee to win the election in November.

At this stage, I don’t think this scandal alone will prevent President Biden from pursuing a second term, but it weakens one of his primary lines of attack against former President Trump if he is the GOP nominee, the biggest risk for Democrats is that it could demoralize their voters, especially if the DOJ’s investigation escalates.

Continuing to push this nominee after signing that bill into law is the very definition of tone deafness, unfortunately, the Biden administration is sending a message to victims of sexual harassment in the workplace that they’ll only be believed when politically convenient.

I believe that Donald Trump takes the GOP ticket down in flames if he captures the nomination. Not because Sen. Sanders and Gov. Dean say so, but because I believe his moment on center stage has passed, it is apparent to me that the Republican aspirants will gain more courage in attacking him the closer we get to primary season. Conversely, if Trump is not the nominee, there will be more Biden scrutiny. The Democrats will counter with a surprise legislative achievement that includes some GOP support.

We want our judges keeping criminals behind bars, not setting them free into our communities. A child is dead because Judge Edelman didn’t do his job, and now he wants a promotion, i cannot support a nominee who has shown such reckless disregard for his duty to keep Americans safe.

He's not a serious candidate, he's really not, if he were the nominee, I have no doubt Don Bolduc would have a much harder time trying to win that seat back. So I don't take him seriously as a candidate. I don't think most people do.
