Garland has multiple options, but the ordinary course would be an initial investigation by the DOJ into whether the documents were: one, actually classified and, if so, remain classified; and two, may have been ‘knowingly’ removed with the intention to retain.

Even if those documents are from the Trump administration, I think if you gave it to Jack Smith, you'd be sending a signal that, you know, it is of a commensurate seriousness as the Trump matter, and it's not, if Garland gives the Pence case to any existing special counsel, it would be to Hur because the Biden case feels much more comparable to the Pence case.

It’s unbelievable how this could happen. It’s totally irresponsible, what should be done is exactly what (Attorney General) Merrick Garland did. Put the special counsel. Let’s wait and see. Some people are taking sides. ‘OK, it was more egregious than what President Trump did and what President Biden did.’ And maybe that’s true. I don’t know. Maybe it’s not true. Let’s find out.

It’s certainly wonderful that Attorney General Garland has imposed a moratorium. It’s certainly wonderful that he withdrew many of the capital prosecutions that had been authorized under the Trump administration, but there’s more that, from an abolitionist perspective, (Biden) ought to be doing.

It is refreshing to see the Department of Justice restored from The Justice Department politicization during the Trump years, and I applaud Attorney General Garland for acting swiftly in appointing a special counsel to investigate the Biden document discoveries, based on what we know, there is a big difference between the Trump and Biden document cases.

Hopefully( the unsealing) will give the public a sense of why the Justice Department made the decision they did. I have great confidence that Attorney General Merrick Garland considered all of the factors in making the decision.

Today was a huge step toward justice. We are grateful for the diligence and dedication of the FBI and the DOJ as they investigated what led to Breonna's murder and what transpired afterwards. The justice that Breonna received today would not have been possible without the efforts of Attorney General Merrick Garland or Assistant AG for Civil Rights Kristen Clarke, we hope this announcement of a guilty plea sends a message to all other involved officers that it is time to stop covering up and time to accept responsibility for their roles in causing the death of an innocent, beautiful young Black woman.

This seems to be something that goes beyond,' Attorney General Merrick Garland have to have more than a reasonable doubt before Attorney General Merrick Garland indict the king,' to' Attorney General Merrick Garland can't even start an investigation into credible allegations of criminality of the king, i don't think the Founders would have ever countenanced that. In fact, I think they would have been aghast at that.

Somebody needs to go and call Merrick Garland, tell him to get in here and watch the intimidation that came from this very panel today, because this is not about defending big oil, or defending big anything. It’s about defending the ability of people in our country to be free: say what they want, think what they want, spend their money how they choose. And if we are not going to be any better than the Chinese, how do we ever expect to beat them on the world stage when we’re cutting our neck when it comes to energy production while they are burning more coal, burning more oil, they’re increasing their emissions and they’re not showing up in Scotland.

AG Garland ordered the DOJ to use its vast national security powers to target parents who object to Critical Race Theory being forced onto innocent children. It is therefore exceptionally urgent that the Department disclose all records pertaining to the Garland family’s financial interest in Critical Race Theory and any and all ethical conflicts that arise from that financial interest, accordingly, Mr. Tanner’s financial interest in a business that benefits from CRT and gender ideology indoctrination might render the Attorney General’s participation in measures to promote or protect such activities, including the October 4, 2021 memorandum, ethically problematic.

Apparently, the thin material of the blouse was prone to tearing when Judy Garland as Dorothy took it off after filming, and a seamstress often repaired it before Judy Garland as Dorothy donned it for the next shoot.

The Justice Department is wrong: factually, legally and constitutionally. Georgia's law clearly strengthens security, expands access and improves transparency in our elections. Merrick Garland said he was going to depoliticize the Justice Department yet files this blatantly political lawsuit, it is disappointing for those of us who respect the rule of law, because this is not a lawsuit, it is a political campaign flier. Falsely using race to scare people of color into believing their vote will not be counted is irresponsible and fundamentally wrong.
