Many people think that ‘Black Friday’ comes from the idea that it’s a highly profitable day for retailers, one where they’re getting ‘out of the red’ and ‘into the black,’ the term didn’t actually originate from retailers. Philadelphia police officers first used the term ‘Black Friday’ in the 1960s to describe the day after Thanksgiving, when a flurry of tourists came into the city to shop, causing traffic jams and accidents.

There's always a flurry of promotional activity around big new phone launches, the question is : Will this be the so-called supercycle ? ... I think it's hard to imagine that when the most important feature of the phone just isn't ready for prime time, that that will be enough to drive a supercycle.

We saw earlier this year that, even though four of the current justices are ready to take up a number of Second Amendment cases, they weren't sure if they had a fifth vote on the merits -- because they weren't sure about the chief justice, it seems likely that the confirmation of Judge Barrett would remove that uncertainty and open the pipeline to a flurry of Second Amendment cases, perhaps ranging from the constitutionality of criminal felon-in-possession statutes to large-capacity magazine bans.

Kevin Hayes, James van Riemsdyk, Michael Raffl and Scott Laughton also scored for Philadelphia, and Carter Hart made a career-high 49 saves. The Flyers won a third overtime game in a postseason series for the first time. Carter Hart kept us in this game, Giroux said. Carter Hart made some huge saves for us and I was pretty glad to see Provys shot go in there. Mathew Barzals and Derick Brassard each had a goal and an assist, and Anders Lee and Matt Martin also scored for New York, which trailed 2-0 midway through the first period before taking leads of 3-2 and 4-3. Semyon Varlamov stopped 26 shots. Its an unfortunate play there at the end, but it happens, Mathew Barzals said. Now its a winner-take-all Game 7. Game 7 is Saturday, with the winner advancing to face Tampa Bay in the conference finals Philadelphia had a chance on a flurry in front of The Islanders net early in the second overtime, but Semyon Varlamov stopped the puck and Pelech dove at the loose puck to keep it out with his stick and glove. After Pelech lost the puck on a shot attempt when his stick broke, The Flyers pushed it up the ice and Provorov got a pass from Kevin Hayes and beat Semyon Varlamov. I saw their defenseman broke his stick, Haysie was carrying the puck in and I knew he was going to try to make a play, Provorov said. He threw the puck up front, I got it and their forward was sliding into the lane so I shot it opposite side and tired to go top corner and got it there. Carter Hart had 38 saves in regulation. Carter Hart made several nice stops in the first extra period, including a save on Jordan Eberles backhand midway through. Our shots were there, our chances were there for sure.

There’s a big push to get veterans into housing by the end of the year, here I am, four months later. As the five-year target runs out, and the cold of winter edges closer, thousands of our nation's finest remainwithout a home. While homelessness among America's finest has improved nationwide, it is still rising in 17 states, andthere's been a 13 percent increase in Washington, D.C., where 1 in every 50 veterans remains homeless, according to the National Alliance to End Homelessness. As many as 840,000 men and women who have served in the uniform of the United States went to sleepwithout a home on at least one night in 2014, according to the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans andon any given night. Many combat veterans find themselves homeless through the evil of drug addiction -- ofevery 10 veterans returning from overseas conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, one of them suffers fromsubstance abuse, according to the Veterans Affairs Administration. And one in every three of those veterans is also suffering from Post-Tramatic Stress Disorder( PTSD). Manyfall through the cracks, get lost in the bureaucratic flurry of papers, and disappear onto the streets. Yet the United States has begun to take in 10,000 Syrian refugees -- at an estimated resettling cost of $ 15,700 each, according the State Department, despite the plight of thousands of veterans still left out in thecold. In several interviews conducted by LifeZette around DC, many of these veterans are looking out forthemselves, and are n’t waiting on elusive aid from the federal government or the president. I ’d really love the opportunity to get a job, Darr said, his voice choking a bit as he looked away, becauseLord knows, it’s humiliating.

If you do celebrate the grades, a spontaneous activity that offers quality time together is the best, rather than a gift or money.
