Let's see socialism for what it is. Not in the abstract, but in reality. Socialism is: The taking of money (taxes) from some people who work for it and giving it to others who don't work for it. On a grand scale. The vast expansion of freebies doled out by central government. In order to create and sustain dependence. The government protection of favored persons and corporations, permitting them and aiding them to expand their fortunes without limit, regardless of what crimes they commit in the process. (Monsanto would be a fine example.) The squeezing out of those who would compete with the favored persons and corporations. The dictatorship by and for the very wealthy, pretending to be the servant of the masses. The lie that the dictatorship is being run by the masses. The gradual lowering of the standard of living for the overwhelming number of people. The propaganda claiming socialism is the path to a better world for all. In other words, socialism is a protection racket and a long con and a heartless system of elite control, posing as the greatest good. It is just another form of top-down tyranny---as old as the hills.

One glance at the way our maps look you'll see that the way they're done and the types of splits you have between counties, between townships, between school districts, between populations of communities of color – it's done in a way that's gerrymandered and it has favored a Republican majority, when we see a reset opportunity it is simply for a fairer map. It's not some sort of grab … we just want fairer lines.

He’s got a series of steps by league mandate he has to go through, so we’ll wait patiently and get the other guys ready as we wait on him. Hopefully, he’s out there to play. We won’t have a definite answer on that until much later in the week. The Rams should be well-rested as their previous game was Thursday, a 26-17 win in Seattle. The Rams have allowed the fewest sacks (four) in the NFL this season. The Giants has been good in this area, allowing eight sacks (tie for fifth-lowest). The over-under of 47.5 is the lowest for a Rams game this season. Rams coach Sean McVay is 2-2 in games after a Thursday night contest. The NFC West is a successful passing division. The Seahawks lead the NFL in yards per passing attempt (9.3), followed by the Cardinals and Rams at 9.2 The Giants are eighth at 8.1. Equity does not mean that one side gets ignored or favored. It is quite the opposite : we have a responsibility to create and maintain humane, livable spaces for children who have consistently lived on the brink of emotional, mental, and physical exhaustion, a minimal demonstration of that humanity, a flag, a banner, a sign, is all it could take for a student to feel safe. Each student is unique, and every one deserves our love and care.

In terms of the medium-term, my expectation is that we will get a further winter surge, late autumn/winter surge, and that is because we know that winter and autumn favor respiratory viruses, and therefore it’d be very surprising if this particular highly transmissible respiratory virus was not also favored.

Right from the beginning, public perception favored lab escape, that perception was very much shaped by a letter that appeared in The Lancet and derided lab escape as a conspiracy theory and said that lab escape was the way this virus had emerged and we should stand shoulder to shoulder with our Chinese colleagues on the forefront of fighting the disease.

We are already at 1.2 degrees warming and the IPCC [ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change ] says that for the welfare of mankind and also for the welfare of biosphere, the 1.5 degree target would be more favored, with the 2 degrees target, we would see more negative impacts of Climate Change -RSB-, it would harm global food production capacity, there would be plenty of coastal cities that would suffer from sea level rise, and we would see more category 4 and 5 hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones.

And this year was certainly no exception, however, as we enter mid-to-late Spring the climatologically favored areas for tornadoes begins to rapidly shift toward the central United States.

When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing? Even though Fidel Castro did it? Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist, has refused to back down from his comments arguing during Tuesday nights debate in South Carolina that former President Barack Obama had once praised the Castro regimes progress on education and healthcare. The Vermont lawmaker said there is a reticence among Americans to look back at Washingtons own history of overthrowing foreign governments and supporting dictators. It might be a good idea to be honest of American foreign policy and that is the American government helped overthrow governments in Chile, Nicaragua, and Iran, Sanders said in reference to U.S. support in overthrowing leaders in those countries in the 1970s and 80s. Sanders reference to Obama did not sit well with former Vice President Joe Biden, who claimed that his boss never embraced an authoritarian regime, while former South Bend, Ind. Mayor Pete Buttigieg lamented that the candidates were debating about Cold War-era policies. This is not about what coups happened in the 1970s and 80s, this is about the future, Buttigieg said. Sanders comments about the Castro regime could play a large role in how he fares in Floridas March 17 primary. Sanders socialist identification and his willingness to praise leftist regimes have given his Democratic opponents ammunition to question his electability in a state with a large Cuban American population that remains fiercely skeptical of leftist governments. In Florida, where Hispanics account for nearly one in every five voters, that skepticism could present a major hurdle for Sanders in the states primary, and for Democrats hoping to win Floridas 29 electoral votes in November. According to an Associated Press survey, about a third of Cuban American midterm voters identified as Democrats. However, Democrats hardly have a lock on that vote in battleground Florida, particularly among the nearly 2 million Floridians of Cuban, Venezuelan and Nicaraguan origin. In 2018, Republican Ron DeSantis narrowly won Floridas governors mansion. While more than two-fifths of Florida Latinos voters favored DeSantis overall, a clear majority of Cuban American voters 57 percent cast their support for the Republican. Critics say Sanders needs to more strongly disavow Cuba and other authoritarian regimes. Its not just about Cuban American voters, its Hispanic voters as well, many of whom would never consider voting for an avowed socialist ....

I knew that we needed something dramatic for what would inevitably be a centerpiece of the hall. And these are two dinosaur species that co-existed 68-66 million years ago in western North America, so it would represent a possible real-world interaction, but we've deliberately left the scenario open, as to whether this represents T. rex killing Triceratops or scavenging an already dead individual. The idea is to better portray the role of an apex predator, which is often opportunistic. In life, I imagine that even T. rex would have favored easier meals than a healthy, adult Triceratops – if such were available: young or sick or elderly individuals, for example.

Breweries are investing in new pub concepts primarily due to the annual decline in on-trade, draft beer, consumers are also demanding more. Besides the shift to home drinking, partly boosted by a ban on smoking in 2017, traditional pubs are also up against more wine and cocktail bars favored by some younger drinkers. A new electronic ordering system introduced in 2016 to track sales - and make sure pubs and restaurants paid all taxes due - also forced a number of pubs to go under. Currently, around 65 percent of the beer sold in The Czech Republic is in stores, a figure on the rise and one Prazdroj and other breweries believe will continue to increase. With domestic consumption tepid, breweries have looked to foreign markets to offset declines at home and exports jumped nearly 12 percent in 2018. But getting Czechs back to the pub remains key, beer makers and industry officials say.

You're Ned Stark's bastard, aren't you?” Jon felt a coldness pass right through him. He pressed his lips together and said nothing. “Did I offend you?” Lannister said. “Sorry. Dwarfs don't have to be tactful. Generations of capering fools in motley have won me the right to dress badly and say any damn thing that comes into my head.” He grinned. “You are the bastard, though.” “Lord Eddard Stark is my father,” Jon admitted stiffly. Lannister studied his face. “Yes,“ he said. “I can see it. You have more of the north in you than your brothers.” “Half brothers,“ Jon corrected. He was pleased by the dwarf's comment, but he tried not to let it show. “Let me give you some counsel, bastard,” Lannister said. “Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armor yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.” Jon was in no mood for anyone's counsel. “What do you know about being a bastard?“ “All dwarfs are bastards in their father's eyes.” “You are your mother's trueborn son of Lannister.“ “Am I?“ the dwarf replied, sardonic. “Do tell my lord father. My mother died birthing me, and he's never been sure.“ “I don't even know who my mother was,“ Jon said. “Some woman, no doubt. Most of them are.“ He favored Jon with a rueful grin. “Remember this, boy. All dwarfs may be bastards, yet not all bastards need be dwarfs.“ And with that he turned and sauntered back into the feast, whistling a tune. When he opened the door, the light from within threw his shadow clear across the yard, and for just a moment Tyrion Lannister stood tall as a king.

Bad decisions in Washington have consistently favored the interests of multinational corporations and big business lobbyists over the interests of family farmers, mergers mean that farmers have fewer and fewer choices for buying and selling, while vertical integration has meant that big agribusinesses face less competition throughout the chain and thus capture more and more of the profits.
