Theres just a lot of information that doesnt line up to make that a channel catfish, and in the last few years it just became overwhelming.

Seems like theyre just looking at a picture of it and showing it to some fish specialists, south Dakota Game, Fish and Parks is taking away my great grandfathers state record away because they dont think by looking at a picture South Dakota Game is a channel catfish... I would think he would know the difference !

I don’t know how to say this to you in a nice way, but it has to cover my front privates, i am aware of ‘catfish belly’ arms. Have you ever seen a catfish? You know how they have a smooth floppy belly on them? Well, that’s what we refer to as ‘catfish belly’ arms.

At the moment, a Wels catfish ticks more of the boxes than any of the other contenders for the explanation, i would like it to be something new and undiscovered rather than something a little bit mundane. People do report four- or five-feet long necks sticking up out of Loch Ness. That's not going to be a Wels catfish.

I have to be honest. I just don’t think that Nessie is a prehistoric monster, what a lot of people have reported seeing would fit in with the description of the catfish with its long curved back.
