Im just going to be honest. Megyn is 47 years old. She is our age, there has never been a time in that -- in her 47 years -- that blackface has been acceptable. I wonder how much diversity she has on her staff. I dont know; Im not there. But I would imagine theres not a lot because people would have informed her. This is what people of the larger culture dont understand about racism and about privilege.

Even after listening to the tape, I sincerely do not recall either the skit, which evidently occurred at a Baptist Student Union party, or the interview Baptist Student Union, both which occurred 52 years ago. Even though Ben LaRavia is the one on tape remembering the skit -- and I still don't recall ever dressing up in overalls or in blackface -- I will not deny what is the obvious, as such, I fully acknowledge -- with genuine remorse -- my participation in a skit like that back when I was a senior in college.
