It’s great, we have another terrorist off the face of this earth. I’m good with that, but it doesn’t absolve the administration or the State Department or the Pentagon from taking responsibility or accountability for what happened. They haven’t stepped up and said we messed this up and it won’t happen again.

We’re working on that. There’s some changes that you can make to the process, to sort of speed that up, the Pentagon is working as fast as they can, and they’ll have more to say on adjustments they’re making.

When we talk about the lack of cooperation by DoD, we’ve got emails, and we’ve got memo traffic to support everything we said about their lack of cooperation, i know one nameless, faceless bureaucrat in the Pentagon said, ‘Oh, well, somebody came over once.’ No, no, we have the paperwork.

How many people want to talk about Afghanistan at the Pentagon? How many people want to talk about Afghanistan at State, or AID? Not many, and you know this report, with its companion report, is the only official US government report that’s public … on the 20 years spent in Afghanistan. To me, I’m very glad that we were able to do this, but I’m an inspector general. You would think the Department of Defense or Department of State or USAID or the National Security Council would have come out with something official on the 20 years there.

I was the one that asked the Pentagon to fund, this was not an Elon thing, we stopped interacting with the Pentagon on the existing capability. They are not paying.

As Justice [Brett] Kavanaugh said, the commanders on the ground know best when it comes to maintaining combat readiness, in this case, a Navy SEAL commander with decades of experience says kicking out his troops hurts our military worse than COVID ever could. America is now learning that the Pentagon bureaucrats are wildly out of touch with reality.

I met my husband on my third tour in Iraq, he’s a career army officer. His name’s Dave. We’re a service family, right? He’s thirty years in the army as an Apache pilot. He’s still a civilian counterterrorism planner four days a week at the Pentagon.

The White House proclaimed the pandemicis over, but as the Pentagon just reiterated, the purge continues, as they systematically drive out of the Coast Guard [and all branches of the military] the best and the brightest, like LTJG Stone and our other plaintiffs, meanwhile, they use cookie-cutter form denial letters citing nonsensical excuses for their religiousdiscrimination. For example, they told LTJG Stone that he was not 'worldwide deployable' due to his unvaccinated status, despite the fact that he had just completedfourworldwide deployments, during which time he missed not a single day of work while no less than12%of his fully vaccinated shipmates were quarantined with COVID.

I’ve been in direct contact with many service members over the last year – including many from Nebraska – who have legitimate concerns about the way the Pentagon has handled the processing and disposition of their requests for religious and medical exemptions, orders are orders, and I received every vaccine known to man when I served in uniform, but maybe it’s time to reassess this particular order. Based on the president’s recent statements on the pandemic, I’m personally not convinced we’ve struck the right balance between military risk and the Constitution. We need to consider the serious recruiting and retention problems now facing the military, and review actions taken against those who did not get the vaccine.

Gen. Cavoli will oversee some of the biggest military posture changes in Europe since World War II. Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February, the Pentagon has deployed or extended deployments for over 20,000 U.S. troops in Europe. The U.S. now has more than 100,000 troops based in Europe. And soon the 40,000-member NATO Ready Force will be increased to 300,000 NATO troops. US DEFENDS SENDING AIRCRAFT THROUGH TAIWAN STRAIT AS CHINA GROWS INCREASINGLY AGGRESSIVE.

Russia is the aggressor here, and I think we have seen here at the Pentagon, we certainly see clear evidence that the Russian military is conducting war crimes. We think it's important for the investigative process to continue. We're going to contribute to that.

Technology-driven decision-making is an essential part of our defense modernization. Current incentives in the Pentagon lead to less innovation and more bureaucracy, even a single failed test of a new technology can have serious consequences on officers’ careers. This attitude smothers innovation and reinforces using the same old ‘proven’ technologies that don’t meet modern threats.

The State Department's 'maximum pressure' campaign has not pressured Iran toward diplomacy and a new agreement. It has pressured them toward an increase in malign activity in the region and toward the development of a nuclear weapon, said Mick Mulroy, Trump's former top Pentagon official for the Middle East and a retired CIA officer who's now an ABC News contributor.

What is happening now is not a surprise. It was predicted. If anything, it is happening faster than predicted, said Mick Mulroy, the Pentagon's former top Middle East policy official and an ABC News analyst. We are not seeing the worst of it. The Taliban is not only taking territory, they are killing people with the weapons we provided to Afghan security forces, said Mulroy, a former CIA officer and Marine infantryman who served in Afghanistan.

We knew we were at war, the first battle of that war took place in the Pentagon and the World Trade Center. I visited the hospital that night, five different hospitals. We had lots of wounded. Some of them stayed for weeks. I realized that there was a significant amount of heroism that had taken place from the patients in the hospital, as well as from my officers and CEOs and civilians who joined me in the operation center who had been assisting people outside.

I knew it was a terrorist attack, …I was getting a report from the chief of my operations center — a two-star general — and we were talking about an airplane that had come up I-95 and had come close to Washington, D.C.,and then back to the east and went south. We err discussing what, if any, evacuation procedures there were for buildings in D.C. when the plane hit and rocked the Pentagon.
