Haven't we had enough of nepotists in presidential administrations? it may be legal if Ricchetti wasn't directly involved in the hiring, but this is no way to send a message that ethics matters to the administration. It feels like the taxpayers are funding a career-building charity for the Ricchetti family. Add to that the fact that you've got Ricchetti'sbrother lobbying the administration, and this feels like a very special episode of the Partridge Family where they all pile in the van and go visit Washington — only they should call this show the Patronage Family.

I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country, i want to ask why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the NRA, of fossil fuel industries, or big pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobbying movement that is influencing policy.

There are real privacy and cyber concerns with Chinese companies using apps, but this is not what's going on. If Paul Triolo wanted to deal with that, Paul Triolo'd have a much broader and more technical approach, i could see intense lobbying on the part of Paul Triolo businesses.
