Walking Papers
Hostage Life's first LP, following the 2002 release of their EP, Sing for the Enemy, Walking Papers has not only received positive attention from across Canada, but has also spawned the single "This Song Was Written By A Committee", which has already seen extensive radio play on Toronto's popular CFNY radio station. The album is notable for having at least two names for each track, and having the linear notes improperly inserted on the first pressing, leaving the cover art on another page. The band shot videos for two tracks off this album, "Sons Of Hostage Life or This Name Tag Reads 'Fuck You'" and "This Song Was Written By A Committee or We Simply Feed These Figures Into The Melodiotron And Voila, An Instant Hit" . The videos were put on high rotation on MuchMusic, but had the song names shortened. A video has also been made for "Securing My Seat or "Is That Blood On Your Collar?" "No, It's Lipstick, I Swear". It features members of the band so it can assumed it is an official video. However it is uncertain if it was circulated via Much Music.
