I found a paper clipping that talks about the statue of liberty. And in this article is a poem that says... "Cries she with silent lips, 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled. The wretched refuse of your teeming shore, Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the Golden Door.' '' It also talk about the cornerstone being laid in 1884 and the unveiling of the statue on october 28 1886. What I would like to know is what does TEMPEST STONE mean?
