    Tarnab is a town and union council of Charsadda District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is located at 34°13'12N 71°40'51E and has an altitude of 299 metres (984 feet).Tarnab is especially famous for the cultivation of sugarcane and its extract "gurr". Four main families of tarnab are Abu Saeed Khail, Mandokhail, Akhunzada and Painda Khail. The notable personalities of tarnab are Sheerin Khan Haji Sahib (Gul Baba) (L) - the great landlord, belonged from Abu Saeed khail family. He was the most powerful person in the area. Haji Qadeem Ullah Khan (L) - the landlord from Mandokhail family. He was a noble person, known for his hospitality and social welfare of the poors all around the district. He was close friend and relative of Sheerin Khan Haji Sahib (L) and Haji Salah Ud Din (L) from village Mirzadher. He is the father of todays most influential personality in district and round about areas and grandfather of many notable persons in the district. Another powerful personality in village was Abdur Rehman Khan (L) known for his powers and the pushtoon cultural values.
