The translation for skoal is incorrect for many of the languages listed on the page.

To start with, Swedish translation is the same as Danish - skål and SKÅL.

Skål is NOT interchangeable with cheers as it is never a greeting.

ONLY say skål when you raise a glas to someone and toasting them.

Never use skål as you would use cheers as a greeting or ending/wishing well.

You will risk being kicked out or at least be looked at as if you are the village fool if you walk in to a meeting room in Scandinavia and greet the group with a - skål !
