  1. S'Express

S'Express (pronounced ess-express; sometimes spelled S'Xpress or S-Express; otherwise known as Victim of the Ghetto) were an English dance music act from the late 1980s, who had one of the earliest commercial successes in the acid house genre. "Theme from S'Express", which contained elements from Rose Royce's "Is It Love You're After", was one of the earliest recordings to capitalize on a resurgence of sampling culture. The song went to number one in the United Kingdom for two weeks in April 1988. It also made the Hot Dance Club Play chart in the United States, (also scraping into the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at number 91).

Examples of s'express in a Sentence

  1. Rene Anand:

It not only looks like the developing brain, its diverse cell types express nearly all genes like a brain, we’ve struggled for a long time trying to solve complex brain disease problems that cause tremendous pain and suffering. The power of this brain model bodes very well for human health because it gives us better and more relevant options to test and develop therapeutics other than rodents. Rene Anand, who began his quest four years ago, studies the association between nicotinic receptors and central nervous system disorders. He’s hopeful that the lab-grown brain will provide ethical and more rapid and accurate testing of experimental drugs before the clinical trial stage.

  2. Jack Dorsey:

I think it’s more and more important to at least clarify what our own bias leans towards, and just express it … I ’d rather know what someone biases to rather than try to interpret through their actions.

  3. Mary RobinsonFor Robinson:

It's a place for kids to come and erupt like a volcano, it's a safe way to release their angry feelings... and it makes it easier for kids to talk and express themselves.

  4. Joe Biden:

If these reports are true, then there is truly no bottom to President Trump's willingness to abuse President Trump power and abase our country. This behavior is particularly abhorrent because it exploits the foreign policy of our country and undermines our national security for political purposes. It means that President Trump used the power and resources of the United States to pressure a sovereign nation — a partner that is still under direct assault from Russia — pushing Ukraine to subvert the rule of law in the express hope of extracting a political favor, such clear-cut corruption damages and diminishes our institutions of government by making them tools of a personal political vendetta. At minimum, Donald Trump should immediately release the transcript of the call in question, so that the American people can judge for themselves, and direct the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to stop stonewalling and release the whistleblower notification to the Congress.

  5. Lisa Murkowski:

I am struggling with it. I have struggled with it for a long time I think you know that. I didn't support the President in the initial election, and I work hard to try to make sure that I'm able to represent my state well that I'm able to work with any administration and any president, he is our duly elected President I will continue to work with him. I will continue to work with this administration but I think right now as we are all struggling to find ways to express the words that need to be expressed appropriately, questions about who I'm going to vote for not going to vote for I think are distracting at the moment.
