    Ratra are a Punjabi clan found in Punjab region of Pakistan and India. Muslim Ratras live in Pakistan while Hindu and Sikh live in India. They originally belong to Sialkot (now in Pakistan) and are descendants of shri "Baba Thamman Shaheed" and of Shri Ratto on whom this clan is known as Ratra. Before independence of Pakistan in 1947, the Hindu and Sikh Ratras migrated to India, and who were left in Pakistan gradually were converted to Islam and are called now Muslim Ratras settled in Pakistan. The Ratras are a sub clan of Kashyap Rajput. Ratra families are living in Sialkot, qila didar Singh (gujranwala) more khunda (nankana sahib) and sheikhpura. A large number of Ratra families live in UK and USA. They have good and successful business.
