    The previously listed definition is lazy and poor. There are numerous references to this word in English culture, and used as an English word. Its definition seems to be more of an adjective to describe an individual who subscribes and participates in the political process in its entirety. A political participant, or a possessive form of participating in politics. To cite a few examples Chris Martin of Coldplay used it in the song Politik, and Skipp Whitman in the song Escalator Music.
