    Pehlevi, also known as Pahlavi, is an ancient Iranian language that was used historically in present-day Iran and nearby regions. It is a Middle Persian language that was used by the Parthian and Sassanian Empires, and it developed into the modern Persian language. Furthermore, Pehlevi scripts were used for writing the language, which was derived from Aramaic script with influences from cuneiform and other scripts.
