Editors Contribution

  1. operett

An operett is a musical dialogue about a man and woman relationship in which solos, duets, and orchestral interludes are used to enrich the story of the relationship.

As a composer, I composed several duets for the operetta,"The Heart of a Man Is a Woman" but soon discovered that these duets could be expanded to reveal deeper and more subtle parts of their relationship without using other characters in the story. Therefore, the operett is much shorter in length and has a richer and more subtle expression depicted to introduce a new genre in music. The operett is subject to refinement due to the fact that it is an experimental genre.
