Wikidata

  1. Open Fire

Open Fire is the first live album by American hard rock/heavy metal band Y&T, released in 1985 through A&M Records. It was recorded in the same year. All of the tracks are live, with the exception of "Summertime Girls," which appears in a studio version and went on to become the band's biggest hit. This version was also featured on the band's next proper studio album, Down for the Count, which was released later in 1985. This album became one of the rarest Y&T albums to find on CD, until Hip-O Records reissued it in 2005 with two bonus tracks, "Black Tiger" and a live version of "Summertime Girls." Both songs were live like the rest of the album, but the concert version of "Summertime Girls" was actually the original B-side of the studio version when it was released as a single. Apparently, some versions of the album included a studio version of "Go For the Throat" as a ninth track.
