  1. neckle

A mythical sweet substance which comes from the necks of young children.

Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles may partake of the 'neckle' substance from the child's neck, near the angle of the jaw, by first asking the child for permission to have some "neckle". If permission is granted, the older person uses two fingers, and softly pinches the neck and rolls the skin between two fingers, seemingly extracting "neckle", which then is taken to the mouth. The older person then expresses delight at the delicious (fictitious) taste.
