    Lyepyel (Belarusian: Ле́пель, romanized: Liepieĺ; Polish: Lepel; Russian: Ле́пель, romanized: Lepel, pronounced [ˈlʲepʲɪlʲ]; Yiddish: ליעפּליע, romanized: Li'epli'e) is a town located in the center of the Lyepyel Raion (district) in the Vitebsk Province of Belarus near Lyepyel Lake. Lyepyel is situated at about 54°52′N 28°40′E and its population in the 1998 census was 19,400. The coat of arms of Lyepyel incorporates the Pahonia symbol.
