I have searched all over the internet and have not found the definition of 'junebug' that I grew up with. I was born in south Texas, where I heard 'junebug' used to describe a person who was as innocent and foolish as a new-born June Bug, many of which were seen in the spring, bumping into porch-lights and landing in people's hair. I use it to refer to a person who is not well-educated, but is a 'blank slate' for new ideas. Example: "OMG! I never knew that."
