Immortals is a song written and recorded by American rock band Fall Out Boy for the 2014 Walt Disney Animation Studios film Big Hero 6. An alternative version appears on the band's sixth studio album American Beauty/American Psycho (2015). The "End Credits" single version was released by Walt Disney Records on October 14, 2014, as a digital download. A 7" vinyl bundled with a poster was released on December 16, 2014. As of February 8, 2016, "Immortals" was certified Platinum by the RIAA for one million units sold.

In antiquity, the name of a body of 10,000 troops, constituting the guard of the king of Persia; so called because they were always of the same number; for as soon as any of them died, the vacancy was immediately filled up. They were distinguished from all the other troops by the richness of their armor, and still more by their bravery. The same term was applied to the life-guards of the Roman emperors.
