William Huskisson (11 March 1770 – 15 September 1830) was a British statesman, financier, and Member of Parliament for several constituencies, including Liverpool.He is commonly known as the world's first widely reported railway passenger casualty as he was run over and fatally wounded by Robert Stephenson's pioneering locomotive Rocket.

Huskisson is a town in New South Wales, Australia in the City of Shoalhaven, on the shores of Jervis Bay. It is 24 km south-east of Nowra. Situated alongside Currambene Creek which serves also as an anchorage and fishing port. Huskisson is a prime tourist destination, with white beaches and crystal blue waters. Huskisson was named after the British statesman William Huskisson. In 2006, the population of the State Suburb of Huskisson was 778.
