Enterotoxemia is a condition caused by the absorption of toxins produced in the intestines by certain types of bacteria. It is usually seen in livestock and other animals, but can also affect humans. In many cases, it occurs when bacteria that are normally present in the intestine start to multiply rapidly and produce a large amount of toxin, often due to a change in diet or other conditions that disrupt normal intestinal function. Symptoms can include abdominal pain, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and in severe cases, neurological issues and death.
