Wikipedia

  1. Eia

Eia or Eye was a Medieval manor in Middlesex and now part of Central London. A smaller manor called Ebury or Eybury, and the village of Eye Cross, were originally part of the manor of Eia – and derive their names from it. Both Ebury and a corruption of it, Avery, can still be found in the names of local streets and other places. The broader area covered by the original manor of Eia included much of the present SW1 postcode area, including: Hyde Park (which dates from 1536), the grounds of Buckingham Palace (1703) and Belgravia, a country road known later as Park Lane and most parts of Mayfair, Pimlico, and Knightsbridge. The name Eia is believed to have originated as a latinisation of the Anglo-Saxon toponym eyai, which means "island", in reference to a marsh that once dominated the area.

Examples of eia in a Sentence

  1. Ravindra Rao:

Crude is marginally lower today on a surprise build in U.S. crude stocks... On the flipside, however, crude is also supported by a weaker dollar and the prospect of higher U.S. stimulus, u.S. crude stocks have been falling for last five weeks and this has been one of the key factors in keeping price at elevated levels. If EIA also confirms an increase in crude stocks, we may see some more correction in prices.

  2. Stephen Innes:

Crude prices continued their stellar performance into year-end, nudged along by the more benevolent inventory data published by the EIA, product demand is up, and with a more constructive global growth outlook than at any time of this year, oil markets remain supported by the fundamental backdrop.

  3. Andy Hall:

The market is forward looking, and it is becoming increasingly evident that supply and demand are coming into balance - notwithstanding the still extremely downbeat forecasts being published by agencies like the EIA and IEA.

  4. Stephen Innes:

There is nothing like an early start to the hurricane season to support oil prices, but looking under the hood of the EIA data, it paints an even rosier picture for U.S. oil markets, imports down, exports likely up and refinery utilization at yearly highs.

  5. Jerrod Kitt:

People were surprised the EIA production numbers aren't higher. Most people were looking for gains of 2 to 3 percent.
