    Camelia is a type of flowering plant that originates from eastern and southern Asia. They are famous for their large, glossy-leaved shrubs with flowers that can vary in color from white, pink and red. The plant typically blooms in late winter to early spring and is often used in tea production, notably in East Asia. The plant genus was named after the Jesuit priest and botanist, George Kamel.
