artificialization
Aside from the freguent reluctance of dictionaries to address this word on its own terms without reducing it to a participle of 'artificialize", let us note that human environments... though viewed as being real, are products of artificialization. So too is evolution. Adaptation does not in any way making something more real than a predecessor form or formulation, though the notions of something being "real for the moment" or "that's the way things are" tend to be used as rationale interpretations instead of being termed rationalizations.
Hence, something can be defined as real though it is an artificialization, because it was developed as a process and did not exist... in a sense, before the process took place. Humanity developed by way of a process, and is therefore an artificialization of life... even though we label it as real.
