Those who study spiders and other arachnids are arachnologists. More narrowly, the study of spiders alone (order Araneae) is known as araneology.The word "arachnology" derives from Greek ἀράχνη, arachnē, "spider"; and -λογία, -logia, "the study of a particular subject".
