Wikipedia
Anolis
Anolis is a genus of anoles (US: (listen)), iguanian lizards in the family Dactyloidae, native to the Americas. With more than 425 species, it represents the world's most species-rich amniote tetrapod genus, although many of these have been proposed to be moved to other genera, in which case only about 45 Anolis species remain. Previously, it was classified under the family Polychrotidae that contained all the anoles, as well as Polychrus, but recent studies place it in the Dactyloidae.

anolis
Anolis is a large genus of arboreal lizards, commonly known as anoles, that can be found in North, Central and South America, as well as some islands in the Caribbean. They are recognized for their vivid colors and their ability to adapt their body color to their surroundings, similar to a chameleon. Some species are also known for their extended throat fan, also known as a dewlap. Anolis species vary widely in size, behavior and preferred habitat, but most species are small, typically no larger than a human hand.

Anolis
Anolis is a genus of lizards belonging to the family Polychrotidae. With nearly 400 species, Anolis represents the world's most species-rich amniote genus. Several species of Anolis are occasionally ascribed to the genus Norops, but the validity of the Norops genus is not widely accepted. The green anole has recently become the first reptile to have its complete genome sequenced.
