  2. Raag Singhal:

What's ’ interesting in the Aileen Wuornos case, and it’s a highly unusual case, is if you were to talk to the public and say ‘ This is a serial killer who was executed, ’ I don’t think anyone would lose sleep over it. The things the public typically looks at are whether they have confidence in the defendant's guilt and whether they got due process. The third thing is whether the defendant was treated consistently with those who acted similarly, it’s a strange concept when you’re talking about those who acted similarly and you’re talking about a serial killer.

  5. Maxine Waters:

Mr. Secretary, I want you to know that no other secretary has ever told us the day before that they were going to limit their time in the way that you're doing, so if you want to use them as examples, you have acted differently than they have acted, and as I have said, if you wish to leave, you may, if you'd wish to keep me here so that I don't have my important meeting and continue to grill me, then we can do that. I will cancel my meeting and I will not be back here. I will be very clear if that's the way you'd like to have this relationship.
