Women
A woman is an adult female human. Prior to adulthood, a female human is referred to as a girl (a female child or adolescent). The plural women is sometimes used in certain phrases such as "women's rights" to denote female humans regardless of age. Typically, women inherit a pair of X chromosomes, one from each parent, and are capable of pregnancy and giving birth from puberty until menopause. More generally, sex differentiation of the female fetus is governed by the lack of a present, or functioning, SRY-gene on either one of the respective sex chromosomes. Female anatomy is distinguished from male anatomy by the female reproductive system, which includes the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, vagina, and vulva. A fully developed woman generally has a wider pelvis, broader hips, and larger breasts than an adult man. Women have significantly less facial and other body hair, have a higher body fat composition, and are on average shorter and less muscular than men. Throughout human history, traditional gender roles have often defined and limited women's activities and opportunities; many religious doctrines stipulate certain rules for women. With restrictions loosening during the 20th century in many societies, women have gained access to careers beyond the traditional homemaker, and the ability to pursue higher education. Violence against women, whether within families or in communities, has a long history and is primarily committed by men. Some women are denied reproductive rights. The movements and ideologies of feminism have a shared goal of achieving gender equality. Trans women have a gender identity that does not align with their male sex assignment at birth, while intersex women may have sex characteristics that do not fit typical notions of female biology.

"Women" is a song released by British hard rock band Def Leppard in 1987 from the album Hysteria. It was the first single release off the album in the United States. The song was also released as a single in Canada and Australia. In most other parts of the world, "Animal" was the first single released from the album. The single's B-side, "Tear It Down", was written during a recording session following the completion of the Hysteria album, where the band laid down several tracks intended as B-sides for the Hysteria singles. Subsequently, the song itself received radio airplay and was later performed by the band live at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. The band later re-recorded "Tear It Down" for the Adrenalize album. The music video for "Women" focuses on a boy who reads a comic book outside an abandoned warehouse while the band performs inside. The comic book, titled "Def Leppard and the Women of Doom!," features a skateboarding protagonist named Def Leppard, who travels to a distant planet and battles evil aliens to liberate female robots. "Women" is the only one of the seven hit Hysteria singles not to appear on the Vault compilation. However, it is included in disc 2 of Rock of Ages: The Definitive Collection.

SOAPY You know, feisty women never get boring. JOEL Let me tell you something. Boring women get a bad rap. There's a lot to be said for boring women.
, } The woman, we all know, was Anita Hill. And I was there as her story unfolded. Twenty-seven years ago, on Yom Kippur eve, I testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee in my role as President of the Women's Legal Defense Fund, which became National Partnership for Women Families for Women Families. I was joined by wonderful colleagues, including Professor Patricia King of Georgetown University and Marcia Greenberger, co-president of the National Women's Law Center. At the time I testified that Judge Clarence Thomas appeared to lack a demonstrated commitment to equal justice. I stated that Judge Clarence Thomas record cast grave doubt on Judge Clarence Thomas commitment to affirm and support fundamental principles of equal employment opportunity, the constitutional protections against gender discrimination and reproductive freedom. Judge Clarence Thomas record had shown an extensive pattern of disregard of principles of fundamental importance to women and Women Families. The ugly double standard over Kavanaughs so-called youthRead MoreOf course, the parallels between then and now are unmistakable. Shortly after my testimony, Hill's story was leaked to the press, and Anita Hill was asked to testify before the Senate. What happened next continues to be one of the most disgraceful episodes in our country's modern history. Anita Hill came before the Senate and was greeted by an all-male panel, led by Republicans who sought to prosecute Anita Hill, while Democrats, at best, remained neutral fact-finders. This phony trial resulted in a gross imbalance of power and meant that no one defended Anita Hill and no one prosecuted Judge Clarence Thomas. What was on trial was not the fitness of Judge Clarence Thomas to be the next Supreme Court justice but instead Hill's moral character and reputation as a woman. Immediately after the hearing, it was branded as a.
The preservation of life seems to be rather a slogan than a genuine goal of the anti-abortion forces what they want is control. Control over behavior power over women. Women in the anti-choice movement want to share in male power over women, and do so by denying their own womanhood, their own rights and responsibilities.
In addition to degrading and objectifying women, posing naked may actually be counterproductive to supporting women’s rights. Those opposing equality for women, will just point to the naked women and argue to the parents of the nation that it is their traditional values that prevent their daughters from being degraded and objectified as women, this will be a powerful argument because most parents do not want to see their daughters posing naked.
The worst [about women's football] is never said officially. It is whispered. You hear it as a joke. Women should not play football at all, it is too masculine for their bodies is number one on the list. I usually chop back with that if it is masculinity you want, then go play American football.
